LMB Sedarland Antique is a dark brown oiled oak parquet with many knots, cracks and manually aged V-groove on the four sides of the board. The surface was also aged by hand, whereby the soft wood fibres are brushed away. Then the board is scraped clean. This creates scraping marks and noticeable unevenness, especially around the knots. Finally, the character is intensified by the artisanal application of parquet oil. All these treatments of the surface contribute to the high colour variation and the rustic character of this multi-layer parquet which is a perfect representation of an old farm floor.
