Unity in the kitchen

A kitchen is the beating heart of a house. It's a place to work, play, catch up, eat and cook, of course. If you want to increase the unity with the space where you live, it's best to go for uniformity on the floor.

A tile that looks like concrete, for instance, that runs from the kitchen ot the rest of the living room. The Tilestone Stone Edge Greige and the Tilestone Beton Grey are excellent choices for this.

Demarcated zones

In addition to creating unity, a floor can also define different spaces. When the kitchen is part of the rest of the living room, but you still want to set a different atmosphere, a different floor can help. A parquet with a beautiful structure and grain in the sitting area can be combined with Pierre Nero, Pierre Bleue Gris and Tilestone Core Grey, beautiful ceramic variants of Belgian bluestone, in the kitchen. 

Match the appearance of wood

Are you thinking more of a floor with a warmer look, even in the kitchen? Then consider ceramic parquet, like Pecan Taupe. These tiles in wood look radiate the same warmth as wood. Its maintenance is easy, as a stain won't penetrate the tile. Definitely an advantage!

Or maybe pattern tiles?

There are two types of pattern tiles available. The traditional cement tile and its ceramic variant. What exactly is the difference between these two? Cement tiles are made using powder pigments, sand and cement. As a finishing touch, the tile is polished to make it less porous. The ceramic variant is less porous than the real cement tile, and this makes its maintenance easy. Perfect for the kitchen, right?

Vinyl without worries

Easy to maintain and back from the future: vinyl. The VYGO vinyl floor has an extra thick top layer, making the floor particularly strong. A vinyl floor is also ideal for renovations. You simply put it on top of a flat floor.

Parquet: only for the brave at heart?

Parquet in the kitchen is not an absolute no-go. However, there are a few things to consider. For example, choose a pronounced wood grain and structure. Dirt and scratches will less quickly stand out and any damage will seamlessly blend into the existing structure. On a light parquet floor, crumbs and dust are less visible. Choosing narrow joints prevents dirt from piling up between the boards.
